Position Summary



Responsible for administration of employee benefits in all company operations. Provides guidance and assistance to all locations on various employee benefit plans as needed. Survey industry and/or community to determine company’s competitive position in employee benefits. Administers employee insurance, retirement savings plan and works with insurance brokers and plan carriers. 



Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administers all employee benefits programs, including but not limited to Health and Welfare, 401k and Leave of Absence
  • Installs approved new plans and changes by preparing communication
  • Conducts employee meetings and arranges for enrollment of employees in optional plans
  • Revises and reissues all communication materials on benefits from time to time
  • Advises and counsels management and employees on existing benefits
  • Assures company compliance and provisions with ERISA supervising preparation of reports and application required by law to be filed with federal and state agencies, such as IRS, DOL, insurance commissioners, and other regulatory agencies
  • Reviews and analyzes changes to state and federal laws pertaining to benefits, and reports necessary or suggested changes to management. Coordinates company benefits, with government sponsored programs
  • Handles benefits inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution
  • Researches and stays current on all market benefit trends to ensure Athletico remains competitive with benefit offerings

Job Requirements/Specifications

Education and Experience: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 or more year of benefits administration experience
  • Leave of Absence administration and/or 401k experience strongly preferred
  • A bachelor’s degree in a business related field preferred
