Position Summary

The Strategy and Corporate Development Manager is responsible for sales outreach and financial analysis to successfully support the company’s operations and growth plans, including the pursuit of strategic business opportunities, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), partnerships, alliances, joint ventures, and licensing agreements. This position will report to the Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development, and will have broad and frequent interaction with senior management.



Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•    Research and analyze industry segments and competitive dynamics

•    Identifies potential risk and analyzes possible solutions with considerations of organizational impact

•    Develops financial models illustrating business dynamics on the organization and its competitors

•    Evaluate mergers, acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and other corporate development opportunities

•    Contact and participate in discussions with potential acquisition partners

•    Coordinates, performs and tracks strategic and quantitative analysis to assist in determining appropriate valuations and deal structures, and conducting due diligence to execute corporate development opportunities

•    Work cross-functionally with internal and external teams during transaction due diligence

•    Leverage industry knowledge in evaluating and prioritizing corporate development pipeline

•    Assist in the creation of project-level forecasts for incorporation into a long-range planning process and analyze performance against objectives

•    Assist in the preparation of routine and ad hoc presentations and reporting packages for senior management, legal and board review



Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field required
  • Equivalent to a Master’s degree reflecting advanced job-related knowledge preferred
  • Professional experience with a preference for sales, finance, business development or consulting experience
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles, securities, laws and regulations and ability to implement business processes in compliance with appropriate laws and regulations

Physical Demands:

  • Specific vision requirements include the ability to see at close range, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear
  • Possess the ability to fulfill any office activities normally expected in an office setting, to include, but not limited to: remaining seated for periods of time to perform computer based work, participating in filing activity, lifting and carrying office supplies (paper reams, mail, etc.)
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel, and reach with hand and arms
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20-25 pounds
  • Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding)
