Position Summary

The Telehealth Athletic Training position will support Athletico’s telehealth platform through providing remote injury assessments to patients. The Telehealth Athletic Trainer will facilitate appropriate follow up of these patients based upon assessment at time of consultation.



Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides remote injury assessment via Athletico telehealth platform
  • Reports on status of interactions, clinic and physician referrals via portal
  • Accurately and appropriately document injury assessment via Athletico EHR platform
  • Assistance with AT coverage as it is dictated by staff availability
  • Assist with inventory and supply tracking at the Resource Center
  • Work with assigned Regional Manager(s) and program management in developing physician relationship building experiences and referrals if necessary
  • Develop effective business relationships through marketing with physicians/high schools/colleges/affiliate programs per region
  • Market athletic training services and program services to clinical and corporate community events to generate referrals to our clinics per region
  • Attendance at applicable AT meetings


Qualifications

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • NATA Certified
  • Current Illinois athletic training license and open to obtaining out‐of‐state license (if applicable)
  • Current full‐time employment status or willingness to change status (if applicable)
  • Advanced understanding of direct access and its applicability to states Athletico resides in
  • Extensive  knowledge of Athletico locations and leadership  associated.      Willingness  to communicate with said leadership to accommodate referrals to centers or physicians
  • Exceptional organization, communication & customer skills essential
  • Public speaking experience with community, affiliate, program, physician, continuing education lectures
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • If applicable, willingness to relocate
  • Candidate will be required to sign a non‐compete agreement upon acceptance

  • Demonstrated ability to consistently communicate a clear understanding of patients/clients expectations and adapt as appropriate to exceed their needs
  • Proven skill to provide patient care/service that exceeds expectations
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership for one's own actions or decisions
  • Proven skill to foster a sense of teamwork and cooperation while working with others

Language Skills

  • Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
