Position Summary

The Vice President of Total Rewards will be responsible for directing the organization’s Compensation and Benefits functions and establishes compensation and benefits related programs.

This individual will lead the Compensation and Benefits team and will be responsible for implementing new and improved Compensation and Benefits processes and policies that are scalable solutions to support a fast-growing company.



Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • In consultation with other members of the HR Leadership team, develops a compensation philosophy and a benefits package that assist the organization in meeting its business objectives.
  • Evaluates market data, industry trends, and best practices, seeking opportuntiies to enhance the competitiveness of the compensation and benefits programs.
  • Participates in compensation committee meetings as required.
  • Leads the benefits committee
  • Evaluates and selects data vendors, consultants, brokers, and advisors and negotiates contracts, seeking to balance competetivenss with cost control.
  • Oversees annual compensation and benefits processes, including market pricing, salary reviews, incentive plan administration, open enrollment and related activites or communications.
  • Ensures plan complicance with relevant regulatory/legal standards and statutes.
  • Leads and directs the work of the other employees, including responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination.
  • Contributes to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the department or function.
  • Recommends policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization.
  • Perform other duties as required


Qualifications

Education and Experience:  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • MBA or other related graduate level degree preferred.
  • Requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in both Benefits and Compensation functions
  • Minimum of 5 years of previous supervisory experience.
  • Extensive experience designing and implementing multiple, complex, and diverse Compensation and Benefits solutions.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local labor and employment laws, including all federal reporting requirements (EEO-1, AAP, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams with strong collaboration and customer service skills.
  • Successful track record of strong project management across a series of competing projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the company including C-suite; ability to manage by influence.
  • Strategic mindset with a willingness to be hands on and ensure operational excellence.
  • Proven success in roles involving HR data, reporting, and analytics, emphasizing conducting Compensation data analysis and successfully deploying quality Benefits and Compensation programs.
