Athletico Physical Therapy is seeking a results-oriented training and development leader who will work in alignment with the Athletico’s Executive Team, human resources, field operations and company leaders to deliver solutions that build organizational capability in support of business strategies and priorities.

Position Summary

The Training and Development Leader will have a successful track record of building and executing training and development programs that drive a high-performance culture. This position will focus on: assessing organizational training needs & capability gaps, designing & delivery training programs that leverage best-in-class solutions to create sustained learning and engagement. This position reports to the Sr. Vice President of Human Resources.



Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity for a Training and Development leader to make an immediate impact to the business by optimizing existing learning programs and identifying new, innovative and relevant strategies for further support talent capability development at Athletico.

  • Assess current organizational training & development needs, existing programs and solutions across the talent life-cycle: onboarding, mentoring, individual contributor, new leader development, leader and executive development, high-potential talent development, succession and engagement.
  • Diagnose and prioritize opportunities in collaboration with company leaders that impact organizational effectiveness and business priorities, including: developing a deep understanding of the patient, the market, the competition and emerging trends to create leading and relevant training program and offerings
  • Provide leadership and management of training, learning and development priorities along with a vision for near and long-term value creation for Athletico
  • Design innovative learning and development programs to strengthen individual and organizational skills and competencies that drive a culture of continuous learning and performance improvement
  • Ensure learning and development programs and offerings align to organizational values and culture and in support of business performance and growth
  • Create content and learning programs that are engaging, effective, facilitate organizational capability growth and sustainability
  • Design and deliver training content and courses in a variety of learning formats, including: instructor led, virtual instructor led, train the trainer, e-learning, web-based, virtual classroom, mobile and other considerations to support a variety of learning styles and preferences
  • Identify opportunities to streamline, simplify and improve the employee / user experience and training effectiveness, including optimizing learning management systems and solutions
  • Develop methods to monitor and measure training effectiveness: training tools, systems, vendor partnerships and overall program offerings
  • Proactively stay up-to-date on the latest market offerings, trends, innovation, training solutions and partners
  • Lead by example by creating a culture of customer service, accountability, continuous improvement and teamwork
  • Create and drive a dynamic growth culture by aligning initiatives with the company’s growth strategies and priorities; demonstrate a relentless focus on results
  • Establish immediate credibility, collaboration and rapport with a broad group of stakeholders across Athletico; build trusted relationships and a reputation as a strategic and results-driven leader within the organization and with external partners
  • Help attract and retain top talent; empower, coach, develop and stretch team members for new levels of performance, contribution and engagement


Qualifications

Job Requirements/Specifications

Education and Experience: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • 10+ years’ experience serving in human resources and / or learning & development functions

  • Successful track record designing and deploying blended learning, training and development programs
  • Experience developing instructional materials (instructor-led course materials, eLearning, content / job aid, tools, solutions, etc.)
  • Prior success analyzing organizational needs, setting and managing expectations
  • Experience with onboarding, mentoring, coaching, development programs (individual contributor, new manager, leadership development, high-potential development)
  • Demonstrated ability to create and lead the implementation of strategic, creative and fiscally sound programs that drive business results and improvement
